Oh well, i don't know if i'm depressed or not, but when my girlfriend went away for 12 days i kinda missed her a bit. And i made this:



Not that it had anything to do with my girlfriend, but i think its the closest i've been to being depressed.. Hey! I'm just following the forum rules! xD

What does prowess mean?

hehe it looks good. i used to be very "dark" in my style, at least thats what some friends once told me. lately i'm trying on purpose to change into a happier approach, and damnit, its not easy. the little stuff i did on systemdark was some of my first "happy" tryouts, and it seemed like people liked it so.. im still trying with that.

i don't like going to sites like b-man.dk and see a bunch of highly talented bunch of people making some great photoshop battles, but all of them so dark and depressing.. and since i've always been the kind of person who likes to go against the stream, i mostly try now to make something that people feel good about seeing.

i don't know if this is in general something harder to do, but for me personally its always a challenge. and sometimes i get frustrated, give up, and make something dark instead hehe.

ok im babbling. what im trying to say i guess is, you should try to make something that makes people smile and STILL look good. its tuff.

by the way, i made these today, i thought maybe you wanted to see it:

You're not babbling, I think I will try some more positive stuff as well. i was mucking about with the idea of floating white foamy squares with names and faces on them.
But then i thought, shit. It looks like an old sig of nik0n's best forget it and make a layout

I'm hoping to go phpBB soon. and use that ad infitum skin you made but 'sex it up' a bit with my own brand of taboo-like graphical bitchslap rappin art with a cocaine tongue for kicks. and let people bask in that while i work on a lighter and brihgter design,

That layout is really good and definitely worth continuing with. Only a few things i think looks odd, one is the copyright font. The spacing between the letters is not very good, it looks like a microsoft font hehe.

And.. the other thing.. it looks a bit too narrow. How wide is that? 650-700 px? I would maybe try to go up to 780 at least, or maybe make it even smaller to show you really did it on purpose. The way it is now is.. well, it doesn't really look supertight. Its good, but there's something lacking and i think its the width.

Its my way of saying scantily clad ladies with guns and knives and my girlfriend all doing cool violent stuff with lots of trashy grungy GNR stuff....
Its actually only 640x480, i like to make small layouts, i don't like huuuge ones.

heheeh 640x480, dialup and GNR... almost like another century.

i think the font is too black, too white and too red. it doesn't fit in so good with the good colours of the girl.

reminds me of a terminator ad hehe.
